Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator assist in planning, organizing, directing and managing programs and initiatives within the Human Resource Department.   Coordinates and performs work in assigned human resource functional areas, including, but not limited to payroll, employee relations, recognition, training, benefits, workers’ compensation, safety and human resource information systems.

Essential Functions

  • Leads day-to-day payroll administration, including bi-weekly payroll processing, and validation
  • Enters and updates information in all HR related systems
  • Assists with the onboarding of new employees
  • Acts as the initial contact for inquiries and issues related to payroll and benefits billing
  • Organizes the maintenance, storage and elimination of departmental records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with federal and state laws
  • Handles sensitive or classified materials and information confidentially
  • Reconciles all employee benefit bills with payroll deductions
  • Provides customer service as first contact with public and internal customers
  • Coordinates and schedule all Safety Team training and activity

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and the Internet


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Pervious experience using HRIS Software


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or Business or an Associate degree with two years human resource or payroll experience
