Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will supervise manufacturing engineers and technicians to meet operational goals including safety, quality, efficiency, and cost savings.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise manufacturing engineering and manufacturing technicians assigned areas.
  • Develop priorities and project schedules relating to safety, quality, process improvements and efficiency, creating equipment for new products, engineering changes and cost reduction projects.
  • Manage capital projects including manufacturing equipment evaluation, upgrades, and acquisitions.
  • Communicate company policies and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced and deployed.
  • Recommend changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing productivity and improve lean flow of materials.
  • Evaluate current and future state manufacturing processes and ensure that sound engineering and manufacturing principles are being followed.
  • Increase safety and repeatability of existing processes.
  • Develop employees within areas of responsibility to work as a team to accomplish goals as set forth by the company.

Qualifications

  • Project Management experience
  • Automation/Robotics or machining experience preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including systems and engineering processes
  • Strong oral/written communication and coaching skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Management experience
  • Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels

Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience deploying Lean Manufacturing Principles

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
